Soil Continuity — Solo Exhibition, 2017
Retzlaff Gallery, Ashland, OR
Soil Continuity is a series of prints and videoworks that visualize the shared experience between the human body and the surface of the land.
Using intaglio soft-ground etching, the copper plate holds a record of interactions between the individual and public landscape.
This series of work explores public access land of Southern Oregon and questions how the public natural landscape — altered and built through perceptions and constructions from human positionality — influence who we are both as individuals and a collective community.
